CHIEF WEB TECH DATA OFFICER
Thomas Loyd is the CWTDO (Chief WebTechData Officer) of IGotHuntsville.com. He works with the founder, Cornelieus Woodall, of IGotHuntsville.com covering all the technical aspects of the IGotHuntsville.com website, webserver, and database. He is active in all the aspects of website and database development with the software development group behind the site.
Thomas is a military brat and has been one for most of his life. He was born in Provo, UT and moved around the United States and abroad to other countries while his father served in the U.S. Army. He attended four different high schools during his formative teenage years and ultimately graduated from Oxford High School, Oxford, Alabama. Not only was Thomas a military brat, he is also veteran of two branches of the military: U.S. Army & U.S. Air Force. Thomas has served on active duty, reserve, and national guard while in the military in various capacities in both Infantry and Counter Intelligence working in foreign languages. Thomas attended Jacksonville State University (JSU) in Jacksonville, AL and then transferred to Brigham Young University (BYU) where he double-majored Linguistics & Japanese and double-minored in TESL and Spanish. However, while attending BYU, Thomas got the itch to go back on active duty with U.S. Air Force (USAF) and went through AFROTC at BYU. He was commissioned as an officer in the U.S. Air Force and worked as an Intelligence Officer for his career in the USAF. He held various positions at various levels in the USAF and also at various Joint military assignments. The common thread throughout all his positions has been his work with technology at all levels of classification within the U.S. Government. His many positions have run the technological gamut from hardware & network acquisition and building to database/website/media lab management in order to get information to the consumer on the other end of the connection. Thomas is retired from the U.S. Air Force. He truly understands what it means to serve having been active duty military enlisted and officer and now a veteran. He also speaks multiple foreign languages fluently. Thomas also has many interests in all things digital. He is a geek and a gamer and plays various games online through his gaming platform of choice: Steam on a PC. He is also a hardware aficionado and loves to either build or configure PCs to gaming standards since a Gaming PC is built far more durably than a business grade workstation or laptop. He also does digital media development in audio, video, and website development too. His hobbies outside of being on a PC are playing racquetball, golfing, riding mountain bikes, and doing weird/different exercises to stay in shape, and keeping his beautiful queen happy!
Thomas is a husband to his beautiful wife and queen, Veronica, and father to four children and six grandchildren. He attends The Fellowship of Faith Church (TFOFC) with his wife and actively volunteers his time to manage the media ministry’s technology requirements for TFOFC’s two campuses along with serving food and supplies to Huntsville’s homeless every month with his wife.
