Dave and Buster’s is celebrating the opening of its first Alabama location.
The Hoover location at the Riverchase Galleria features food, cocktails, multiple big screen TVs and video/midway game arcade – all aimed for adults. The chain also has larger meeting rooms.
While the Hoover location is the chain’s first in Alabama, it won’t be the only one for long.
Dave & Busters is slated to open at the MidCity Huntsville Development in July 2019. The 26,500-square foot venue will be located at the intersection of University Drive and Old Monrovia Road. It will join the venue’s other entertainment offerings which will include High Point Climbing and Fitness Huntsville, a kayak pond and a 38-acre public park, as well as Top Golf, which opened earlier this year.
High Point’s $8 million climbing gym is slated to open in early spring 2019.
An 8,500 seat amphitheater will also be constructed at the development.
Restaurant offerings at MidCity will include 7,5000-square foot Rascal Flatts, named for the popular country band and Wahlburgers, owned by reality TV and movie star brothers Mark, Donnie and Chef Paul Wahlberg. Both restaurants are slated to open around summer 2019.
MidCity held its ground breaking ceremonies last month. The $500 million redevelopment project sits at the 140-acre site of the former Madison Square Mall. According to its developers, MidCity is currently the fourth-largest commercial real estate project in the U.S.
